I find the area can be a great leveler!
For a while, I was still working in Hemel, and living in Stony Stratford (the center of the known Universe!) and at the time drove a very disposable 1200cc A reg Austin, that couldn't get much over 70mph...
Anyway, came off the M1 at J14, and was just going up the sliproad, when a Bentley Continental shot past...turbo blazing. Trouble was, with that weight, he had to break a mile before the Coachway roundabout, whereas I didn't need to break at all. Of course, after the roundabout, he shot off, only to have to start breaking for the next one, which let me catch up! All the way to the A5 that happened...11 roundabouts in total, and him not able to shake me off! ROFL! Naturaly at the A5 he shot off into the night, but those 5 or so mins were so much fun!

for those of us in the Hull/East riding area......there is the new roundabout at the end of Dog Kennel Lane, Beverley.....and the council want to stick some sort of feature in the middle of it!

sort of 'angle of the north' thingy!

jeez, whatever next to waste my polltax on?

any suggestions welcome!

LOL Gimpl! Feldon isn't Hemel...It's more 'stock broker belt'! She was bound to be posh! There are a few areas like that here, with all the chavs rounded up out of the villages, and herded into the town!
The Buncefield oil explosion was a half hearted attempt to clean up the area!

Oh yes ! Good fun in the S2000 as well. My favourite on the blade was the V11 then turn right onto the H7, knee down round the roundabout and on the exit too. In fact on quiet Sunday mornings used to have quite a nice little race track there with my mates on 996's.
