It's not a small car sure, saw one in munich a wee while back, and it looked very nice though. The whole, practical supercar thing is getting to the point where I wonder whether people will be spending £76k just because it's the top of the range, not because they are going to cut loose in one.
Still if I had the cash, I might consider it...

It seems to be the answer to a problem nobody had!

Although the thought of an estate car with 650 bhp (after an hour's work) will appeal to some, no doubt!

I can;t see the point in high powered estates, they're too long and bulky to ever use it... at least you can use a saloon on a track a bit more, especially M3/RS4/C63 size.

i can see the point in em much more than in the sporty suv's we are now buying wholesale....quicker, nicer to drive, beter to look at..and your not immediately cast in the role of social pariah by the rest of the audience at little farquar and elsbeths school play when you roll up in one...also, going way back to 280te merc estates and volvo 850 t5s right up to the current day. you usually have stealth in your favour...just remeber, the loudest man in the room usually says nothing worth hearing.....its the quiet ones ya gotta watch..

10 years back, i could see the point in the super estates. The supermarkets closed at 10 p.m. and you needed the power to get there before closing time and get your vegs. Nowadays, 24 hrs shopping so maybe not. But then if i had the money... Big Grin

Certainly not necessary.

Another pointless product of the German manufacturer's power war.

More power - heavier - more power - heavier.....

It needs all that power & torque to haul it's bulk around!!! Thumbs Up

I'm dreading the next AMG Sixty whatever the next one will be!

With the power games that the Germans are playing, it's a surefire bet that that car will have more than 600 bhp! Eek

I have never, ever understood why an estate car, designed for the family/carrying boxes around, would be given a supercar engine and the saloon version not so!

Very true.

The A6 is a nice looking saloon that would lend itself to RS6ification very well.

Another manufacturer (not a million miles away from Audi HQ) would lop the frames off the doors & tell you the A6 was a coupe! Nod

For me, it makes as much sense as Ford giving their new Transit a 6.0 V12 twin-turbo and their newest sports coupe a 4-litre V8!

WHY DO goods vehicles, okay, estates, get more power than the coupe/saloon?
Eek

i know iv got strange taste, but i prefer the estates..particulary in the audi range..the estates always seem to look more sporty than the saloons, case in point being the old 200 turbo...the saloon was an ok looking 'supersaloon' for the day, the avant was like a four door coupe, much sportier and much more at home at the ski slopes in st moriz...or the car park at sainsburys...
