Hello, my Escort van is making knocking clonking noises from the front when I drive over small bumps and dips in the road (even man hole covers) anyone have any ideas what it could be? Something to do with the suspension maybe?

agree with this list.
if it coming from one side only it is probably the CV joint.

Track rod end would be my first check, easiest one to spot. Also anti-roll bar drop-links, one could be snapped.
