I've got a Golf at the mo and would thoroughly recommend it. Only reason changing is that I need a bigger one for practical reasons. Thanks for all comments, having taken them all on board, I think an MPV is going to be best for the headroom and boot space. Not an estate though, was looking at a couple of estates and mpv much more practical. between Corolla Verso, Scenic and think the Smax although not looked at that much yet. Does bmw do a mpv (not estate and not suv/4x4! - Looked at Audi and their version of an mpv is HUGE).
A good friend will bail you out of jail...... A TRUE friend will be sitting next to you saying 'Damn, that was fun'.

BMW currently doesnt, the X3 is the closest, but still a SUV/4x4... SMAX has received good reviews.

X3 with the 282 bhp derv is underrated by most.

This thread may be finished with, but I thought I'd chip in. I hear the new Citroen C4 Picasso 5 seater is a great motor. Looks good and the 2.0 HDI would be brisky and econominal!

Econominal? I must be losing it! You know what I mean though...
