Spotted a white Audi R8 today which looked the business. I'd be wary about buying a white car though as fashion is a very fickle thing. I much prefer black despite it showing up dirt/scrathes etc.

Either is better than boring old silver though.

I had a Diamond white with red pin strips Escort RS 2000 in the seventies.
My mate had a Capri RS3100 in white also and I thought both looked rather well. IMO I don't think the quality and depth of white paint these days is as good.
My wife has just bought a black Nissan Note R with privacy glass. Very classy but did someone say black was hard to keep clean?

White is the number one choice of car colour in the middle east. The place is filled with white landcruisers, camry and corolla. One rather cool thing is the places that will shrink wrap your car with a protective film to stop UV fading and also sand erosion abrasion.

I like white cars but would not go for basic white - the dull white can be lifted with a good choice of lacquer, a hint of another colour becoming visible at certain lights and angles, a nice pearlescent finish.

You're right about the white R8. The first R8 I ever saw was in white & it looked sensational. The silver sideblades helped to break up the white nicely.

Well it is pretty hot there, they need white cars so they don't cook

They look OK at the moment but the novelty will wear off. I wouldn't buy a white car.

my mate is looking at a white cerbera with dark wheels just now..it carrys the colour off beautifully...
