Anyone seen/read about the upcoming 2007 C-class? I'm hoping that MB will take the opportunity to make it as good a car in it's category as the new S-class is. The pictures floating around do seem much nicer than the E90 imo.
From what i can make out it looks very simialr to a shrunken S class, just like the current model looks like the previous model S class. No bad thing though! Lets hope quality and reliabilty are improved!
Let's just hope it looks nothing like the revised E-class. Noticed one of these for the first time yestarday; MB have done something to the grille and now it looks like one of those East Asian big saloons (you know the ones, usually called something like "Grand Crown Prestige Royale Super-Diplomat").
It's bl**dy awful.

That new E-class grille is a waste of time. I dont know why they changed it, it was elegant and stylish how it was before. Now it looks like its been melted and squashed. That new car is a very good car, with alot of improvements> Why didnt they just do the tech improvements & leave the styling alone - it was fine before.
New C will be very good. The small saloon which everything else will try to catch up with.
Current S is by far the best luxury car you can buy. Hopefully the C will be a smaller version of it.
There are artists images in a weekly today. If it ends up looking like the images in teh article, it coule well be the first good looking C class. Mercedes have always had a problem designing their small cars that either look like a mini S class or just too chunky for words. It's the detailing that ususally lets them down. First C Class had those god-awful rear lights,the second looks like a silver banana. The front end looks way to small. Compared to their Bavarian and Ingolstadt rivals, they have neither the athletic looks or solidity of form to match them.
