At our apartment block in Switzerland there are a few foreign owners who obviously keep a car there permanently. Someone we know with a place in the Occitaine keeps a car at Nimes airport. I find it hard to see that this is cost-effective, but it obviously is for some people. Does anyone here do the same?; do you have a locally-bought car or a UK car?; and how do you organise insurance?
