Hello... just joined the Saidia chat. However most are talking about the Le Jarden de Fleur resort. I have put my deposit and 20% down for Villa 63 Type C at the Oasis Beach and Golf Resort. I would appreciate to hear from those who are also buying there and your thoughts and experiences both negative and positive. Has anyone actually signed the main Contract - any additional clauses or amendments needed? My solictor and superior tells me the hold up on construction is due to licences. However they have now just received a licence to start on their 1st phase apartments and the others should be due in the next 6 months. Both Fadessa and Superior have been in the same boat. They say the delays should take us to end of 09-early 10 for full completion. I would appreciate anyones views on this development and updates... Would be nice to get to know our neighbours too! Thanks Olivia

Olivia I too bought through Superior. Oasis is thier own project yet I felt it did'nt really match up to the LJDF product - but I cant recall why! LJDF i felt was the premium product on the whole Saidia site.

What made you prefer Oasis - I'm genuinly interested so I know what the competetion thinks like!

A friend of mine wants to flip his LJDF golf villa for £210,000 btw.

In response, the reason I chose Oasis: I prefered the look of the Oasis villas as they were more traditional Moroccan style whereas the LJDF were more modern Spanish. I also loved the layout of Villa C, with the traditional courtyard, our ensuite bedroom overlooking the pool and the pool being 1/2 covered from sun etc I liked the fact for ease it was a fully furnished package, with aircon and ready to rent out or move in immediatelly. I hear the LJDF aren't? I also prefered the layout plan of Oasis villas, seemed much less cramped - therefore more a feel of luxury. I also liked the position of my villa, it overlooks frontline golf course, on both sides, tennis court closeby, not too close/too far from club houses and commercial centre/beach etc. Some of LJDF had a road right on the front and were back to back villas. Not an insult to anyone who has bought them at all, I just prefered Oasis at the time of buying and what options I had.... Saying that the LJDF is a bigger project and may have better communal facilities... but the Oasis club house looks good too and generally the facilities will be excellent across the board - hopefully! Just personal preference. I'd however would like to hear from any other Oasis owners please!

Hi Olivia We have bought a townhouse on The Palms near some of the Villas we are also surrounded by golf are we neighbours? I liked the idea that we are in a culdisac with a no through raod the clubhouse also looks great, which again looks out over the golf course. We originaly purchased a penthouse back in Jan 06 but changed in May this year

Hi Olivia and Suzy, we've bought a villa in the tip of the red sock ("in the toes").
What I like about the sock is, like Suzy says, it's a no-through road, so less traffic. I also like the way the villas aren't set out in a linear row but are at different offsets and angles - much more naturalistic looking.
I have to say I'm also impressed with the detailed architectural plans for the Oasis (sent to me from Superior). If they are a true representation then the landscaping should look really good. For instance, in our own villas' immediate area we've got several sizable Arabic fountains with a water-way linking them, tracking along the middle of the footpath. How about you guys?
On that note it looks like there's going to be an extension of the footpath at the tip of the sock, via a bridge over the lake, through the golf and onto the main shopping area. This should make walking to the medina etc from the sock much easier.
By the look of the detailed plans it looks the the Oasis is going to be a very attractive area.
I'm personally also pleased with the delay in building start in Oasis, in an ideal world they would be the last places constructed in Med Saidia so that all the infrastructure is finished. Long may they procrastinate!

Thanks for getting back to me... it's good to finally hear from some Oasis owners on the "sock"! Would be good to keep in contact with our experiences etc As I asked before has anyone signed their Contract or negotiated any amendments? I'm using Legalex. I haven't signed upto Moneycorp as I've made payments so far in the £. What is the advantages of using Moneycorp? Suzy, we are sort of neighbours, not far! Draigarian, that's good that they are building a bridge for ease of getting to the centre and your walkways sounds lovely! What number are you? We are on the corner of the heal, we bought there as we wanted Villa type C and there was only 2 left on the South facing sock (back in Dec 06). Also as we are on a corner (the heal) we have more green areas next door, hence more of a private garden. The more owners we can get on here to share our process the better - more buyers power!

I phoned 'Oasis Morocco' about this and I was told that it will not effect property bought on Oasis. Superior were just responsible for sales and promotion and that Oasis Morocco is separate entity from them. I hope this is true and there's no knock on effect.
Someone from either company should be informing buyers about what's going on in order to allay rumours or fears, all it would take is a general e-mail but I suppose that's too much to ask when they've already got your money.

I bought a villa on The Pines a couple of years ago and have been fearful for Superior's corporate health for the past six months at least. Looks like we should form a support group, as communication from Oasis / Superior has been utterly lacking.

Christopher North seems to be a director of defunct 'Superior Real Estate Group Ltd' and newly formed 'Oasis Beach & Golf Resort Ltd'. It is possible that he is also a director of 'Oasis at Saidia SARL'. Certainly, key Superior staff have transferred with him to Oasis Beach ... which is actually reassuring.

I visited the offices of Oasis Beach yesterday, met Sue Pyser and Geoff North, and left feeling much reassured about the future of the development. Construction of the apartments is under way and there is a realistic schedule for The Pines. Given Fadesa’s delays, I think we are perhaps lucky in the probable timing of our various completions. I would have preferred better communication in the past but we are promised more committed contact from now on.
Meanwhile, I’d like to swop experiences, photos and advice with anyone else on The Pines. Is there anyone out there…?
