Saidia Morocco Tax Affairs Thread:

Looking ahead I wondered how others planned to tackle the following;

1) When Income Tax kicks - in after 5 years ownership, just how complex will Moroccan Tax returns / affairs be to manage?

2) In the event of selling, will the full profit come straight back to the UK / offshore or will it sit in ones Moroccan Bank account or Notaries Bank account until such time as the Notary has distributed the Taxes?

I thought the 5 years exemption was only from Annual Property Tax and not from Property Rental Income tax? If you rent out your property, you're still liable to pay property rental tax. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I dont have the answers, there's a lot of conflicting info out there.

Hopefuly over time this thread might drill down into the hard Tax facts.
