help needed. want to buy a house in Norway for £40000, we want to get a seperate mortgage but all the high st lenders and my existing lender won't offer me anything other than a remortgage, which i don't want to do. in the meantime i'm looking at getting a mortgage in Norway from a bank there, do you have any advice?

Same as anywhere else, NN - find a someone brokering a property you're interested in, and ask him about financing. Or check out banks direct.

I didn't think you'd be able to find a place for as little as £40,000, but it seems there are a few.
