Has anybody been buying property in Croatia? I would like to hear about your experiences with the agents, quality of property, the legal side of things etc.
Thanks
Sami
We bought a land plot in Croatia this summer.
We didnt buy from a realestate agency, it was a first hand offer. The price of the land was "normal".
Usualy agencies are re-selling.
Right now ,we are working on papers.... so far - no problems.
-quality of property- This is a diferent story.
You must know, where you want to buy and what you want to buy.
We bought on a island near Split(dalmatian coast) Best is ,if the property is 1/1 owner. Then you need to chek if the land is in a building area( urbanistic plan)...
etc. a lot off things... It is kinna hard if you dont speak Croatian. As a foreigner in Croatia country there are different rules for us.( agents, legal advisors etc, they can overcharge you. Or some of them eawen sell you no good land...)
So .... if you have more questions, if I can help/ advice you , I ll be more than happy.
