I understood the demand for Spain. I could see why people thought the new EU members (Bulgaria, Romania, Poland etc) might be a good bet. I can even see the appeal of Morocco.
The logistics (flight times/costs) of the above are manageable.
I'm really having trouble understanding how this Brazil thing stacks up:
1) Flight times of 9 hours 2) Cheapest flight I can find £850.
Those logistics pretty much discount the destination as being anything but a once/twice a year visit. Which means everything must be stacked on rental/capital appreciation. But with developers storming the thousands of miles of coast are these aspirations of returns likely to be achieved?
Doesn't the logistics aspect worry anyone here who is embarking on this adventure?
Agree flights are long, but surely the location of Brazil is far more tempting than the Black Sea!? If you take the First Choice flight out of Gatwick to Salvador (flies every Saturday) and then take an internal flight from Salvador to Fortaleaza, you shouldn´t pay more than £350 return for the flights - sometimes it costs that much to go to Spain!

Blackpool or Bognor is more tempting than the Black sea.....but I'd agree Brazil is much more tempting still
Just did a search on First Choice.....indeed those flights are very cheap considering the distance!
Now I see the appeal.....who on here has an apartment they want to rent out to me for a few weeks then!
