After doing my research, I am keen to buy an off-plan property in Morocco and have decided on either Saidia or Tangier. My maximum budget is 80K and I will need a mortgage to cover 60% of this.
Ideally I want to buy a 2 bed apartment purely for investment and I’m struggling to find a good agent that can find me something within my budget. I’m a property investment virgin and want this to be the first of many so the last thing I want is to put my money in the wrong hands…which I presume goes for all of us.
I haven't bought with them but Andy Welland is a wealth of information regarding Saidia and has been very helpful. You can see them on www.propertyshowrooms.com

I'm looking at Tanjah Beach on the Atlantic Coast. The deal structure is fantastic - but there are alot of questions re the development that need answering first.
I think TASA (website is in Spannish I'm afraid) had two bed flats in Saidia within your budget. The only other way I can think of to get a 2 bed flat in Saidia is to bid for some of the Fadesa resales. Some investors are looking to offload rather than complete. Not sure £80k will stretch that far, but if it did you would probably have a flat with little or no view and low rentals while all around is being developed. Tasa looks like your best bet in Saidia unless you are willig to either stretch your budget or settle for a 1 bed.
Fadesa are building in different parts of Morocco. Might be worth contacting them to see what they can offer. I kno their Kaliba resort was a lot less expensive than Saidia.
Be wary of smaller resorts unless a reputable name like Fadesa or Emmaar are building them. They carry an increased risk of things going wrong. I'm sure that will provoke a reaction from some, but anyone who has been following PBGR or Royal Asilah over the last year will know what a rollercoaster ride it has been.
Thanks for the tip. I have decided to stretch my budget rather than settle for poorer quality.
I have booked appointments to see Moroccan property and Safrron Villas on Wednesday. I'm finding it too slow communicating by phone so thought this may be the best way to get all of my questions answered.
Has anyone got any pros/cons about going with either one of these agents?
I have purchased through Saffron Villas and found them to be excellent. Would definately recommend them. Another good agent is Andy Welland, Property Showrooms who is a mine of information on Morocco.
