Anyone here bought properties either in Spain or Italy through MASA or Atlas???

How professional, reliable, efficient are they??

Not sure if you are talking about Grupo Masa or Masa International here. Atlas used to have a dreadful reputation in Spain for hard sell,bringing a whole new level of intensity to the Wine/Dine/Sign process. Heard tales of sales agents giving buyers very close attention. May I suggest that you appoint a lawyer in the UK who will represent your interests during the purchase process, and under no circumstances accept the lawyer offered by these companies. John Howell and Co in London served me very well, obtaining a full refund of money paid to Grupo Masa. An english based Abogado may look pricey, but your lawyer will be independent of the selling agency.Get this in place before you sign anything!!!

I live on the Costa Blanca and can tell you that all of the big compaies are as bad as each other. The aftersales service is usually terrible, snagging rarely gets completed and they don't want to know you once they have got your money. If you are confident enough to go out and about on your own you will find that many builders are currently prepared to offer big discounts if you ask for them. Agents wont tell you this as they want to collect their full fee from the builder. Be careful!

DO NOT trust Grupo Masa, Channel 4 still backs this fraudulant company although they are being taken to court in spain, other channels have even made programmes about them such as: TV Programme called: "DISASTER HOMES" 3/4/08 ITV 2100hrs showing state of Grupo Masa Homes.
I will be taking more active action against Grupo Masa at the next event and if that disrupts Channel 4's a place in the sun then so be it!!!!
