I have just started looking & very interested in buying. There seems alot of property in Altinkum. Is there any reason for this ? & the prices seems slightly lower that, say, Alanya or Fethiye ? Any suggestions ? Also recommendations of good companies to go with ?

Hello, We have a property in Altinkum and this was really cheap but i think that the reason they are cheasp is because its not yet a really big tourist place, it has alot of tourist but its not as popular as some of the other places but i think its going to change...i really like going there....i can suggest sugatehomes.com thats all i know we didn't buy through estate agents
good luck

My mum and step dad bought in Kusadasi it was a lot more touristy a few years ago but seems to have calmed down now that alot of other areas have developed. They had been to the same place for about 10 years when they bought a 3 bed apartment in the same complex for approx £35,000. It helped that they new the owners of the complex as they helped them with all the legal stuff. Knowing who to trust was a definate bonus!!!

the reason why property is much cheaper in altinkum is that there is a huge amount of land there unbuilt on and newbuild's going up , so obviously alot of choice to choose from, if anyone is thinking of purchasing property in altinkum, choose your estate agents wisely , remember anyone from a shoe shiner can open a estate agents, but you may need the 'aftercare service in the future,i.e damp walls, leaking pipes, and when the rogue estate agents vanish , you have a challenge on your hands. Also another tip - dont hand over all the cash for your purchase , leave £2,000 to one side untill you recieve your tapu . (Tapu is the document to claim you own that property)
i hope this will help a little.
