with all the recent news about folks in the US defaulting on mortgages causing thier lenders to go into meltdown who have themself borrowed from multi national companies which who knows where this will reach to. the question is as this is caused by rising house prices and the americans have reached the point where they cannot afford to buy anymore will this shoot around the world as already in the uk over half the population cannot afford to buy a house and this must be true for all the so called developed nations. only this week in the uk house prices are predicted to go up even further. the point is nearly here when the whole price of property hs to collapse as nobody can afford anything anymore. back to medieaval times with a few rich landlords and millions of renting poor people. any thoughts ?
I agree jimandpaul i have sold 2 properties over the last 10years and have seen both up for sale recently...I couldn't afford to buy them back now?????
There is a slowing down in house prices in Montenegro, hardly any British buyers, said Estate Agents when we were there last weekend. More Americans Russians, Belgium people are flocking there now, but British people? Not so many....
