Hi
A friend and I have just reserved an apartment each on the OASIS development in Saidia. We are looking for anyone who is ready to instruct a solicitor and would like to join together to get the best possible deal on legals and to also share information and ideas.

Also, any recommendations of good lawyers would be appreciated from those of you who have got that far.

Thanks

Suggest you try BCP Law who charge around euros 1,200.

Try to use local Moroccan solicitors or notaires. They have far more knowledge of what is happening in Saidia. From reading other posts, solicitors in the uk have little or no understanding of what Moroccan law is.
I bought in Berkane close to the Fadesa site using a local notaire. I would be happy to pass on his details.
There are things you need to know, and I give two examples, There are no final contracts ready yet. ( no-one has completed although people on this forum talk as though they have).
Secondly, make sure you keep proof of money entering Morocco or you will have trouble when you want to take it back. These questions can only in my opinion, be answered by someone with local knowledge.
And they are cheaper.

Nickohorn;
Give me a few days to ask the people in charge of the forum. I got into their bad books when I wrote an email adress before.
have you looked at eyeonworldwide.com where people can send posts to individuals.

The Notaire I used was Boutchich of Berkane. you should be able to look him up. I am not allowed to give his email adress or phone number on this forum. He has employed an English speaking girl to help, but of course everyone in his office is fluent in French.
There are translators in Berkane who will work for you if you need them. cost about 6 pounds an hour.
The best advice anyone can give is always do your research. Ask the notaire for the cost of his services in advance. ask him to include all the taxes you will need to pay. In brief ask him from the start if he can do everything you require from him. More importantly for you might be how many times will I have to visit him in Morocco, or can we do it all in one visit. Try to think of everything, and be surprised by nothing.
