My experience of buying in Crete has been a nightmare.
We bought our property from Cretan Traditional Homes, you know the guy who sold to Brian and Andrew in a Place in Greece.
3 years on our property still in't finished. They sold us land which didn't belong to them, this we are still trying to sort out.
Retainer walls still not in, holes in walls, roof not tiled, the list goes on.
BEWARE if you are looking to buy in Crete.
Find you own Lawyer and talk to as many British people you can and find out from them their trials and tribulations and of course a reputable builder/ estate agent. Many Brits are in a similar position, not all bought from CTH. Some still have no electric after 2 years, mainly because the IKA (Greek Tax) hasn't been paid (ours hasn't been paid yet)!!. Eventually this falls to the buyer if the Builder doesn't pay.
