I was tipped off to Albania by a chap that was investing there a couple of years ago and he had a good eye for places to invest. However he did give some warnings about crime rates and organised crime being big problems there, but hey that never stopped anyone from investing in Buglaria, so could well prove to be a good investment if you buy well and buy early. Usually the best places are snapped up years before a place is well publisised.
Albania will be one of the future adriatic perls, but not yet. The land ownership is disputed in most deals, please have a look at houses under £15,000 blog, we had a long discussion on that.
We are driving via Albania now to Montenegro, as it is not safe to go via Kosovo, so getting to know the roads very well. The infrastructure is improving, but buying, investing? No way yet!
