Hello, I've just got back from Turkey, where I have paid the deposit on a villa. Does anyone know how long it is currently taking for purchasers to obtain their military clearance to complete the sale? I was hoping to use the villa this year but have heard it could take 4 -5 months to complete.
hi there we have also purchased in alanya, we bought our property in april but it has been ready for a few weeks now. we are going out on the 3rd of july to furnish it , but we do not have the tapu as of yet,and we have only paid a deposit ... i think it is taking a few months for the clearance to come through , it all depends on who you purchase from, whether you can use it or not, we were given the keys as soon as we paid our deposit as we bought straight from the builder. They were so trusting it made me a little worried but so far all seems fine. I would find out off the person you are buying from if you can use it. Im not really that helpful as we are new to this, we fell in love with turkey a few years ago but when we came out in april to alanya, we could'nd help but buy an apartment we heard was for sale at a bargain price,it has 5 bedrooms and beautiful veiws of the sea and mountains, we hope to buy another property next year, mabe a villa, but we are not quite sure where we would like to settle, so we will use alanya as a base for now.
This is true, it can take up to 6 months to receive your TAPU (Title Deed) to your property but if you have paid your deposit, you should be allowed to move in beforehand.
