Question - has anyone out there visited Belize, or even better bought a home out there
Have done alot of research on the internet and it looks a pretty good place especially in the north near the Mexican border
We have been looking at Panama, but Belize has also become an option
Anyone with any advice and/or help

costa Hubby served in Belize with the army. Plus points are :- diving has the second largest reef, the mayan ruins are awesome, the islands are fantastic and are the better places to live. There is only one major city and crime is quite high but its a beautiful place. If you like nature then it is totally full on, you have jungle, the mountains and the sea. Its off the beaten track so its not a tourist trap and always considered to be the end of the hippy trail by the Americans. The rum punch is considered to be the finest you will ever taste. The majority of the ex pats tend to live on the islands Hope this helps.
