I am thinking of buying a apartment on the pre launch of kabila Marina smir.
I called Beverley at property borders.com for details, with prices from under 50k I think it must be a winner,is anyone else buying there by the way it's on the med side of Morocco
Didn't visit site, but did drive fairly near by on way to Saidia from Tangier. Journey will be a bit of a slog in the bus from Tangier airport or port. Still, the scenery from the mountain roads going towards Al Hoceima is very nice - possible one or two day excursion for those renting cars.
I've been looking at Kabila with La Luz Property, the thing I like is that it is from a well established developer. Might wait for more details though. Marina Smir does seem a great place!

Hi Soup Dragon,
The journey a bit of a slog how did you work that out its only 50 mins from tangier as its close to Ceuta on the med coast.
Saidia is the real slog with a journey time from tangier along the med over mountains that I have driven it took no less than 7 hours on bad roads.
I am going out to look at Kariat Smir on the med coast, closer to a marina, though Kabila looks good. The vital thing to the med coast will be cheap flights starting to Tangier, not just Fez and Marrakesh- it's a slog via Spain and expensive flying to Tangier. Mirador Golf will probably be the first of these developments to be completed, next July,in a good position but I think it is sold out though flats change hands privatly.
I looked into buying at kariat as property borders are selling it but the prices are higher than at kabila. Also kabila being a pre launch having the chance of getting in early is something I always look for.

If you follow signs to Tetoun from the new airport in Tangier you will find that road is hilly and rather slow. There may be a better road along the coast, but I can assure you the journey from new airport (approx. 10km South of Tangier) will take you quite a while.
I'm not saying journey from Tangier to Saidia wasn't a slog. It was! I simply decided to see Morocco my way. That meant travelling independently from site to site and not simply seeing what agents might have wanted me to see.
