Some British estate agents installed in Spain and Portugal, particularly the one with the Spanish name for State hostels, are deceiving Britons, using the same pushing methods of selling Time-share, to sell overpriced properties in these two countries, promising apreciation rates of 100% which is obviously a lie, promising huge rental incomes, etc. They will give you a cheap or free inspeccion visit, never leave you alone (so you cannot compare the prices with the other local estate agents), and they only do not sleep with you if you do not want. For example, a normal apartment costing 200K euros is sold by 300K which is completely out of the market normal prices. They are charging between 10 and 15% commission when the normal commission is 3%. Guess who are paying that huge commission?
