Channel 4 bought the rights to Invasion before the ratings had declined. Invasion was pretty much a hit at the beginning, but it gradually lost viewers.
The pilot had 17 million viewers, which is amazing for 10pm slot
The finale attracted 9 million.
I dont see why it was cancelled though. 9 million wasn't really too bad, and im sure there was a chance of getting the other 8 million they lost along the way back.
The american series "Jericho" had 11 million for its pilot, and just 7 million for its finale, yet that was renewed.
Invasion deserved another season, and many more to come. ABC made a bad decision to cancel it.
