That you have been lured into watching yet another 22-26 episode US tv drama with loads of *mysterious* goings on ala Lost style with no real answers and another half dozen series on the way, with no more answers but plenty of DVD boxed sets for sale(also promising to give more answers but don't)

It's only been on a couple of weeks and already it's full of plot holes and unanswered questions that make no sense.

Someone on here said that the ring isn't even the blond doctor's ring, even though in the programme they have been dropping hints and clues that it is hers every ten minutes.

And if Dave states the bloody obvious one more time.....

Oh look she has dolphin or whale blood and wants to live in a bath full of water, wonder what is wrong. Wait til she starts eating raw fish whole, claaping her hands and spinning a ball on her nose.

i don't agree, to me it's obvious that it's either aliens or some kind of sea creatures that eat a person and recreate that person, kind of like the movie "the invasion of the body snatchers", if you've seen it.

Hints that the ring belongs to the doctor? No No. Did you not pay attention? The date on the ring was 10 years ago, so it could belong to the Sheriff's late wife in the picture who died in a plane crash. That means they didn't found the wife's body 10yrs ago. But the truth is... it's the Sheriff's ring. (spoiler)

Yeah but the dates dont fit in with Mariel, it is definently Grace's ring, dont know if that means it was her body that Dave found though.

As for the show I heard that they didnt commission a 2nd series, but I think its only half way though in the states so that could be a lot of mince.

You obviously didn't pay attention when Dave went to the Jewellers and THE JEWELLER SAYS THE DATE HAS BEEN COVERED UP WITH A CHANGE IN RING SIZE. Therefore it questions who was using the ring when it was lost.

And you can answer WHY they showed the Dr losing her wedding ring at the exact same time as the the other ring was found if it has no relevance?

Theory - the skeleton they dragged up was the sherriff's wife who died. He killed her and left her body in the lake. He gave her ring to his new wife.

He is an alien, paving the way for the rest of them. His body was invaded at the time of his 1st wife's death and he's been patiently waiting for his buddies to land.

I thought that the ring found was definitely something to do with either the sheriff or his late wife due to the inscription 'two become one'. As it was also written on the back of the wedding photo. So either its his 1st wife's body or its his ring and he had something to do with that persons death, or maybe both - its his 1st wife's body & he killed her??

The ring did look quite big in size so I am tempted to believe it may be a mans ring.

Yeah the ring date back to 86 i 'think' the guy said in episode 4 (cant be bothered to run media player again). Kris i think you may have got the facts wrong, also u shud alert ppl from spoilers.

We reckon it's either ...
his ring and he died in the Plane Crash and the Aliens took him over and the 'adopted' body had it made down in size to fit the 'new' wife and that the Skeleton somehow got transported from the scene of the plane crashed (by the storm maybe) ...

It is, as you've guessed, his 1st wife's ring which he has had made down in size ~ they would have given him any of her possessions after the crash.
OR
He is simply 'a survivor' carrying loads of 'baggage' and we're all chasing shadows and he's not an alien
