Hollywood North Report has learned from an an inside source that ABC Television has decided to shake up its Wednesday night lineup by replacing the "alien infiltration" drama, "Invasion", with the criminal procedure series, "The Evidence".

While the network has not officially cancelled its Wednesday night companion to "Lost", sources tell the site that it's unlikely "Invasion" will return; a consequence of less than remarkable ratings.

"The Evidence", shot in Vancouver is from acclaimed producer John Wells, (ER, The West Wing, Third Watch) and director Gary Fleder (Blind Justice, Runaway Jury). The series is said to put a fascinating twist on the standard police procedural.

one more EP of Invasion on in the states next month ( 3 week break) for ep.16, but it could be the last, with no real ending to the show rumors are in the states now.

i wouldnt mind but this show been better than lost season 2, which has been rubbish so far, and they 6 ep's of lost season 2 to be shown in the states now.

They will film all 22 episodes with the rest befing shown in April. Then a decision will be made.

we might still see the full series if they film it, the us networks are too quick to can good shows

I'll be really annoyed but it is a good sow compared to other out there, and i hate when shows dont get proper endings, bugs the hell out of me.

i personally think it was stupid of ABC 2 compare it to lost,they wont have anything as good as lost for a long time, the only thing that i think is on the same wavelegnth is desperate housewives.although i must admit i like invasion, i still think it was foolish of them to make all this bravado!

is it a trend in the USA that they have to axe every good show like it is so annoying!

I cant see how this show is going to get axed, people seen to love this show, especially over there. And the USA episodes are getting close to revealing the whole plot. I would be like going to the World Cup finals and watching a penalty shootout then suddenly ending the game with no team as the winner. It doesnt make any sense if you ask me.

They've already axed one of my fave programs (General Hospital from ABC1) not this one too!!!

That is so much of a shame because there are so much dramas that are a big hit now, but took time to mature. No patience, how sad.

The good old 'V' seem well and truly gone. I was so hooked on that series! They got right into it and plots got so intense (sometimes ridiculous) you got sucked into it.

Invasion's slow pace will probably not be appreciated as I think people mostly want V kind of stuff. I quite like the realism they are trying to create. How an everyday community is suddenly affected. But at some point if they want to keep it real there's going to be panic when people start realising. Then hopefully all mayhem is going to break out. If they take too long viewers are going to get bored.

Whatever they do I hope they complete the series.

V the series turned pants though later on. There was no real story arc once the mini series ended.

Each episode would focus on Diana new weapon or something so it got boring. They even brought back Martins brother after killing him off and ello ello his brother uses the same latex as Martin (same actor) I mean that was daft!

Cant disagree with that. I looooved Diane. I vaguely remember being obsessed with her.

I think most series turn pants if they run too long. Unless they go in the direction of V and the aliens take power and humanity tries to free itself I cant see Invasion lasting very long. The audience seems to have less staying power with this kind of genre theses days. With all the Hollywood alien films out now I'm not surprised. It must be hard to compete.

I suppose at least V took risks I mean they killed off Martin and Robert in episode 1 of the series. That was brave. Then later on they dropped Ham and Robin.

They need to be more daring with the lead plots. We can write most of these storylines ourselves. I think that is why Lost is still captivating people. You never who they are going to kill off next. Is Boone the young healthy rich one? He was gorgeous! I hated it and loved it at the same time and didn't expect it.
