how could anyone think Russ is an alien??? cos he has history in Cuba? I thought the incidents over there were long after Russ had left.

to me Russel represents logic and rationality. a man of science so to speak, searching only for the truth. and hes a park warden, he protects the environment.

I know hes had a troubled past and I'm sure he has a lot more secrets to tell. but I am convinced hes on the good side.

so what exactly is the argument for him being a hybrid? can someone enlighten me?

Just because he 'appears' as the good guy and that's the way that the producers are portraying him they could possibly just be fooling us. The could flip it all back on us in the end. Now that really would liven the show up. It cant be as simple as 'bad' Tom, 'good' Russell.

no it isn't as simple as that. in fact I think in a way both characters (Tom and Russel) can in fact be seen as "good".

define good and bad. who gets to decide what is right and what is wrong? ppl merely act on their beliefs. same with these characters. Tom believes that his purpose is good just as Russel does.

theres so much richness to the plot yet you are the one who is simplifying it in terms of good and bad. but like you said its not as simple as that.

so imo whether Russ is good or bad is irrelevant. whats important is how he chooses to act in the given circumstances.

very well said.

I hate it when people have clear cut lines of good and evil. Russell killed his uncle but that doesnt automatically make him evil. Tom is only doing what is best for his kind and his family. So in that sense I wouldnt call him a bad guy. It's all about the way the producers have decided to portray him. He only looks like the bad guy because you have Russell who is seemingly the good guy, so people assume one has to be good for the other to be bad and vice versa.

well there is good and bad in all of us thats what I believe.

i guess some people have more bad than good or more good than bad or whatever.

but yeah its definitely interesting to watch the characters develop.

I think they are both good guys. Tom is trying to hold things together to allow the hybrids(maybe) to live in this world alongside The Normals.

However, maybe they are not hybrids as such. The Tom we know is not the tom who dies is he???Is that Tom not dead??? So this one is a replacement and therefore not Tom at all??Get my drift?
If so then they are interlopers who have murdered real humansConfusedBecause If there is a "Tom Dead Body" and a "Meriel Dead body"then as I said they are dead!or are theyConfused

my glass is half fullBig Grin in fact it runneth over with delight:

lol, sounds like your getting yourself all confused lessa.
I think the ones we see on tv now are the clones of the people and that the aliens actually kill the humans off after they have copied them.
