what is going on? she found her body in the lake? so basically she got a whole new body but the same memories and mind? according to insane girl they are all different and the sheriff doesn't have control over eveyone. I thought he was the main alien guy... what the hell is going on!? lol

They need to reveal more stuff than they are,at least Lost does that now and then!

I think its the real Mariels body. Tom lied that he saw it so he can yet again cover things up but he clearly did not know that they are not in their real bodies which leds me to belive the remains Dave found were that of Tom from 1986 after the plane crash.

So now she knows shes a clone/body snatcher/other sci fi term then what will she do next?

Someone has told me that *Yes, the body in the trunk of car is Tom's!!*

I heard on the radio a couple of weeks a tv show reviewer saying that she has information from producers or has seen entire series im not sure but she did say that Invasion gets better and better. Also that everything you think is going on in the show, actually the opposite is happening.

Which leads me to my theory that all the 'good' guys on the show are actually thwe 'bad' guys. I mean it has always been portrayed to us that Tom is a 'bad' guy but when you look at his actions it seems that in fact all he has ever tried to do is protect those around him from probing to far and potentially getting hurt.

Russell was in fact invaded back when he first came over to America in that boat, on his own! I believe that therefore Larkin's baby is in fact also part alien.

saw last nights episode - missed the very beginning tho. According to cbs episode guide russell discovers who the owner of the the ring he found is, but i don't remember seeing that last night!!! - was it at the beginning?

This is a very slow story to unfold - very fishy, with lots of red herrings. My theory is that however much of the 'aliens' there is in their disguised human form - a little of the human nature still remains - and that is why somebody like mariel may save the day at the end

I always thought that Tom was the "leader of the Aliens" after last night he is obviously not, he was probably just invaded before everyone else! I was completely shocked that he didnt know that the "aliens" take their bodies!

I like the idea that the remains that Dave found could be Toms 1st wife as they found that ring too, but I cant remember if that was a male or female ring? They could have easily had matching rings!

back to mariel, i think she is likely to be the heroine (or one of them!) as all thru the series she has shown signs of her human side coming thru. She is resistant to her new form (partly thru being unaware!!!). The strange thing is that she has waited to turn alien before showing her maternal side - before she seemed career-orientated, with little time for jessie & rose - still it can't be easy being a wife, mother, step-mother, who works full time as a doctor and is now an alien to boot.

interesting last episode how keen tom was to have kids.

Hunnybabe - its Alan, BlankFrank is just my nic. I agree that on the surface (no pun intended!) mariel appears to have no choice, but remember what the girl who disowned the baby told tom - 'we're not all the same'.
