Invasion was just hard to get into, its a show that took a little patience until you were hooked, it wasn't the fix that many lost fans wanted at the end of season one but it was a good show in its own right... what saved invasion for me was mainy the performance of bill fitchner, you could tell there *was* a good show there, but the show was being messed around by ABC because it was expected to have the same kind of rating as lost and it didn't, it should of been allowed to grow and evolve without lost in the equation.
I cant believe it, its one of the best sci-fi series Ive ever watched and I come from the LOST IN SPACE & SPACE 1999 era! Ive watched em all and INVASION could have been such a big winner, all my workmates were utterly hooked on it..

it was ok, and its disappointing that theres not gonna be another season. But it was slow, they could've cut out a bunch of stuff to make it faster and more interesting. You need a lot of patience!
iwatched the first 5 and the last 2 and well its as if they tried to create the character development of lost, but with no skill, it was sort of like we were expected to side with the character purly because stuff was changing and they were getting freaked out. it sucked with naff FX and poor direction and writing!
it was great it actually had realistic aliens, if aliens exist then they definitely look like that and they're probably making alien versions of people rather than just giving then anal probes and mutilating cows and stuff. the characters were brilliant too, has anyone signed the online petition to have it not cancelled? i have so have all my friends and family
I watched Invasion and Threshold (the alien invasion themed show that was on Sky One and came out slightly earlier than Invasion), and whilst I liked both shows it did take a while for Invasion to really going and for me to be excited about what was happening.. There was alot more suspense and excitement in Threshold which I think made it easier to get into quicker.
It was a good cliffhanger, but I think it would have been much more suspenseful if the penultimate episode had been the last... I found it so scary when all the people were being pushed out into the water... It would have been a really exciting way to leave us hanging, having to wait to find out if everyone would get pushed in... but obviously the fact that a second series is so far unplanned would then have been very irritating.
Indeed, Invasion was a dissappointing sci-fi series. I think the whole season could have been encapsulated within the first and last episode. There was no deep/meaningful characterisation, or plot development. As an audience we were not rewarded for the painful agony we endured watching its uninspiring plot lines and undeveloped themes. Invasion was a tv show that was unsure of what it wanted to be, if it'd gone down the 'Invasion of the Snatches'/ 'The Thing' route, it wuld have been a more engaging experience. Thus, I'm not one bit suprised that the doomed Invasion franchise has been pulled.
It was hard to get into this one,but when I got into it,I need more! Only one question : If they weren't planing to make the 2nd season, why the hell they made this great finale of the 1st one? They could've left every1 alive, like happy ending,or something... And now, I pretty much hate then for this, lol I hope there is a tiny chance ,maybe
I am just happy that I finally know that there probaly wont be another serise of Invasion.. I heard last summer that they axed it, and have been trying to find out more informtion which all you guys have given me.. I really enjoyed watching it, it didnt take too much brain power.
I think the main problem was that the storyline was progressing at a very slow rate, and if you hadn't watched it from the first episode it would be difficult to get into. The cliffhanger at the end of series one left good potential for a second series but nevermind. If it hadn't ended I might never have got to enjoy seeing William Fitchner (Tom Underlay) as Mahone in Prison Break
i watched the whole thing just coz i'd stared watching it the ending sucked and now its really bugging me! why leave it like that if they knew it wasn't gonna have a second series!! >.<
part time evil overlord to the world (seriously my friends gave me the title, we had a cermony!")
