However, it makes sense now that the skelton in the trunk was Tom's seeing as the ring was in there too.
Like it, this is getting more and more intriguing as the weeks go on!
Yeah but it was his wife that lost her ring not the sheriff so what's going on there

i heard from someone who has seen 16 odd episodes already that the skeltons is Tom's but that it is his wife's ring.
maybe he was just wearing it that day.

Im not sure who the ring belongs to, if it was the Sheriffs, or if it belonged to his wife. Maybe they both ahd the same encryption on each ring.

Hi all. Legacy, I've read that this series has been increased from 13 episodes to 22 episodes. Does this usually happen with serials in the USA? I'm curious as to how they work this. Do they write 22 episodes at the outset, film it and then hope it's successful and they'll all be shown? Or do they write 13 episodes and then write and film the rest once the network agree to extend the series? Thanks in advance.

Our American cousins quite often give the same rings to each other when they marry,i think that both Tom/Murial(sp?) and his first wife probally had exactly the same rings...im not certain though
am Susan Ivanova, Commander. Daughter of Andre and Sophie Ivanov. I am the right hand of vengeance and the boot that is going to kick your sorry ass all the way back to Earth, goddammit! I am death incarnate, and the last living thing that you are ever going to see. God sent me. Ivanova, Babylon 5

Its a long process fatcat, they filmed the first half, then in America they have this thing called 'sweeps' where they get ratings from shows, if it gets decent enough ratings then they can carry on. And being the good drama that Invasion already is, it was always going to have more episodes coming.

Its not possible to have seen 16 episodes when only 13 have been aired so unless this person has been filming with the cast, their nose might have gust grown longer, or their pants could be on fire

Thanks for the explanation Legacy. Imagine if it had just stopped though, how maddening would that have been?!

It would have been a shame because Invasion has potential. So did Threshold, but because they messed around with airing times, it did not get good enough ratings so it was cancelled. Thank god there are some americans that dont only watch Will and Grace and Lost
