I dont know if you lost noticed but invasion has to many breaks, its exactly like lost. Its like every 10 minutes.. its so annoying. you get to a good part then suddenly it cuts into a break.
I thought it had less than Lost. UK tv has the less numbers of adverts for both shows. In america there are about 8 advert breaks in Lost same as Australia and other countries - but then again aus and amer dont have TV licencses like the UK so they have to make their money some how.

yes it is true d-roc- one i cant understand is the finale screen is shown then there is an advert before the end titles, happens in australia alot even at the end of neighbours lolpms! when you watch lost you have noticed alot of blank/black screen about four or five times, this is where adverts are, because the uk do show as many as we have the 118 guys to take up time from advertising ads uk makes space for there own advert breaks maybe cutting some of the show out to fit the breaks
Lost and Invasion have no more breaks than other hour long programmes like The Bill, Desperate Housewives etc. I think it's just that Lost and Invasion are soooo entertaining and hooking that the breaks are just annoying. We should think ourselves lucky. When I went to America they had abot a five minute break after the opening credits of The Simpsons. Crazy. And I thought that TV licenses only pay for the BBC so that shouldn't make any difference with channel 4 anyway.

But that's what happens on E4's invasion! It's on for like 5minutes when it starts and then they have a break! It's insane!

There are only 3 breaks but this annoying habit of breaking 5 mins after start and 5 mins before the end is creeping into a lot of the shows and ruins the flow a lot of the time.

no problem. really the shows should have breaks at quarter past, half past and quarter to, seems more sensible. its just that invasion has a billim break 5 mins in another half way through and then another one 5 mins before it ends. its annoying. but Lost does not have anymore breaks, go and ask c4 in the thread at the top of the discuss4 forum, if you dont think we're right.
In America a lot of channels don't have breaks between shows thats why it has breaks at very beginning & end. I actually prefer it as it means you get a bigger portion of the show uninterupted.
