totally agree, Can't decide if Russel is an alien, Tom is an alien but another species, what? Will Marial help save the planet, will Dave be the hero, any ideas?

I don't think Russel is an alien ... I think that Russel/Dave/Mariel will save the planet (despite the fact that Mariel is clearly 'one of them', I think she's got some insight into the situation). That deputy bloke (forgotten his name) is a bit of a loose cannon - I'm sure that some tragedy will occur as a result of something he does ...
... it would help if I knew how long the series runs. This may provide some clue as to how the whole thing pans out.

I dont think itis gonna be a simple as that, Mariel/Russell/Dave saving the world!!! That would be so lame. Ive always thought Russell wasnt what we think he his so I agree he is some sort of alien and probably one of the original ones, because of the way he goes on about his heritage in Cuba and how he had to flee on a boat, probably cos his parents were aliens and they tried to kill him back home!!
I dnt think Russel is an alien, it just cant be. The way he has reacted to things Tom has said, as you have seen in the episodes, the hybrids like to stick togther and defend one another, Russel does not seem to like them at all. Or even care for their existence (apart from Mariel). I just cannot visualise him as an alien.

You're in front of us Legacy, so I think you should know mate.
i hope Russ isn't an alien! but i do agree this program is getter so random! lol especially at the end of the E4 episode when they were on the truck and the bloke who liked muriel was there and they had a big bag full of guns and stuff that looked like what Tom threw into the lake! just soooo weird i really want to know where that is going!

We are just about half way through the series now so there will probably be a lot more questions posed yet. I'm enjoying how they mix the family drama element with the sci-fi element. I don't think Russell's a hybrid though

I'm totally obsessed!
Yeah I pretty much think the 3 will team up too, but do you think Larkin will start digging too much and have to be put out of action?
I'm fairly sure that one (or more?) of the main characters will meet a tragic end. Maybe Larkin, but she's pregnant so maybe not ...
One thing I'm not sure about is why Sheriff Underlay took Larkin to see the military activity - can't work out what his motivation here was at all (unless it was to throw her off the scent of what was really going on). Plus what was the story behind her being abducted by that (allegedly) African bloke?
Hmmmmm ...

Well Tom arranged the abduction of Larkin because he wanted to know who it was following her, however don't know why he is looking out for her, when he sent her there in the first place like you said.
But I think something might be wrong with the baby anyway, at the scan did you see Marials face?

Larkin threatened to report an alleged cover-up involving the military with or without Tom's help so I think Tom thought it would be better to show her something of what was happening to keep control of the situation. Similarly, the whole thing with the guy and the squid was orchestrated by Tom to throw Larkin off the scent. I think you may be right in saying that at least one of the characters will meet a tragic end. In his interview Shaun Cassidy wouldn't confirm it but he wouldn't deny it either!
Sakura Didn't realise you posted before me. I always have to take my time with storyline questions cos I usually end up confusing myself the way the plot's going.
To be honest with the show on Sunday and then the E4 episode after it, then another E4 on Wednesday and Sunday, you don't know where you are half the time

Oh right - maybe some questions will start being answered too. The last couple of episodes have been a lot more informative as to what's actually going on (that alien thingy getting the deputy bloke) ...
... I reckon that Russell is definitely hiding something, though I don't know whether it's that he's an alien. The Cuba situation has been mentioned quite a few times which may mean that something happened there.
hmmm.

Yes, the squid! That was a bit of a red herring (excuse the pun) ... I'm completely intrigued as to what is actually going on with the military - are they aliens/hybrids 'setting up shop'? Or are they the real military working in conjunction with the hybrids? Hopefully some of this will be answered soon.
And why did all the people from the other countries end up killing themselves? And why not in Florida?
I think my head may explode!

i really wanna know why these aliens turn on their children and kill them?
The thing that bothers me there is that Mariel is now 'one of them' - could she end up killing Jesse & - um - the other one (I've forgotten the little girl's name!)
Also I wanna know why Russell had to leave Cuba, and why he left on his own?
I seem to remember that he lost the rest of his family ... maybe he killed them all??!!
