When Invasion was announced I thought it would be a really engrossing series, it looked so promising. What I love about it is that you can miss an episode as I did last week and not have to worry about missing anything because NOTHING happens every damn week!

Are we seriously supposed to be gripped by the story of two families who sort of get on but don't really all the time. Seriously CH4 why did you buy this rubbish? Unless it starts getting interesting very quickly I'm sure I won't be the only person switching off.

Tonights episode..a woman gets sort of rescued but doesn't really. And..oh right no that's the hours entertainment. Utter rubbish.

I have to agree. I really wanted to like this and I still think that once a bit more happens it will be good. It's just a bit slow so far and I'm starting to get to the point where I don't really care any more. Think I'll give it one more week and see if it improves.

I think its really picking up after last nights E4 episode!!

Just be patient as I think that its got true potential!

Besides, honestly, what else is on the TV on a Sunday?! Not much!!!

My work mates that said they'd watch it have stopped. What a bunch of lightweights!!

I just know that this program has the potential to be a gripping story!!

i am more than willing to stick with it and give it a chance but i ti a bit frustrating that not much has happened so far. (my mum is already fed up with it, she says that all that happens every episode is that the long looks that characters give each other become longer and more suspicious)

perhaps some of those who have downloaded the eps could say how many eps into the show it is when it starts to pick up...(without revealing any spoilers..)

Hold on a sec. I bet you also say how brill Lost is each week when it takes 15 weeks to open a hatch.

I like both shows and they are different type of story building. Invasion is starting to build a story and plot lines are only starting to come to the boil.

Yeah anyway ive seen up to eps 14 now and I must say ALOT of questions have been answered, i read the tv.com episode for eps 15 and it says russels tests mariels blood, I wonder if my blood theory becomes reality? PS. Ive been getting back into 24 and my god did i forget how gripping and tense that show is!!

Abbot I strongly resent the implication that I watch / watched Lost! One episode of that was enough to put me off it forever. In case you missed it here's what happened in episode one..

Hey I'm Dr Gymboy, I run around helping folk on the beach. But wait, after I've done my bit I realise my head has fallen off and I'm so DAMN heroic that it didn't even worry me. Hey, where's that immaculate looking chick who doesn't look like she's been through a plane crash at all to patch me up. See how I don't even wince when I get my head sewn back on. That's because I'm one tough hombre...yawn.

It was totally obvious that it was going to be a 9000 parter where they could only spread the action as thinly as possible to keep it going.

Now I don't mind that per se, I mean Twin Peaks was full of odd plot twists, irrelevant stuff and weird characters but that was actually fun to watch even though it didn't really get anywhere from one week to another.

Invasion though..meh, I feel so let down I tune in every week hoping it'll speed up a bit but no, same old nothingness. I thought it was a bold move tonight though showing the paint drying sequence in whathisname's house in a single episode. I personally would have tried to split that into two just to keep the suspense up...
