has anybody here been on the lost forums? well if you have, did you see the amount of pages they had???47!!! and invasion has reached a pitiful 6!! this proves that invasion is not too popular. Go out to all your freinds and tell them to watch the next series of invasion (if there will be another one) so do that and watch the number of threads and pages INCREASE!!!
The thing is my friends did start watching it with me but they just couldn't get into it! The series picked up a little to late, by which time many had already given up!
invasion was to boring and it was so boring most people gave up watching sorry but you know. the last few episodes where ok ill give credit to them for trying i cant say im realy looking foward to a new series (if there is) but hopefuly it will be beter. but it will never compete with LOST.
Invasion was dire. I watched the lot - I couldn't help hoping that it'd pick up or something. But the end of it was rubbish too - no conclusions - nothing really interesting at all. By the end of the series I was getting pretty sure they'd not be able to 'fix it' in the last couple of episodes because they'd just dragged everything out for so long - and sad to say, I was right. So glad it's finished now. And totally don't recommend anyone buy the DVD for a catch up.
It doesn't mean that invasion is unpopular. Lost is a phenomenon, it's ratings are off the scale. Everything on TV for the past 5 years looks unpopular in comparison to Lost. It was unfortunate for invasion to be running when Lost is in its prime.
I love Lost, Though I feel that if it wasn't around Invasion would of faired much better. I agree with some folks here, criticising the story line. However I feel that when they "lost the plot" sometimes, This was due to the reactionary measures they had to take in response to the ratings. The show wasn't able to evolve and flow like Lost is.
It was a lot harder to get into than lost, but when you got used to it, the interactions and chemistry between the key characters was interesting. Well, you can't always judge the quality of something by its mainstream acceptance.
PS: There is no second series, ABC axed it because they have Lost, I guess.
I watched about half of the series it just went on and on and on without anything exciting happening. It never seemed to get interesting. When I first started watching it I thought it would be really fast paced with plenty of twists but it was just boring after a while. Lost is much better and each episode leaves you wanting more.
