I have just heard that Invasion has been cancelled due to poor viewing figures in America. Can someone please tell me that this is not true?! Plus, if it is cancelled, will Channel Four pick up where they left off.

I think there is still a couple of weeks until they announce the shows on abc that are to be cut. Invasion is on the fence at the mo.

Oh my god it better not have been cancelled, its just starting to get interesting! Typical isnt it!

Ive just read that May 15th is the day that ABC will announce which shows they are going to continue with and those they are going to drop! Let's hope for a second season of Invasion hey!

Me too! Apparently its ratings are so bad! Makes you wonder if it would have done better if Lost didnt actually exist!! But then I would hate Lost not to exist!!

I can't believe that Invasion might be axed, it's brilliant! Why is it not advertised any more so people know that it's on?
My family love it just as much as we love Lost.

But if it diddnt exist then you wouldnt know it was even out there or what it was or anything so u wouldnt hate lost not to exist... ok iv just confused myself! anyway lost is good for drama but invasion seems to have more action... its hard to compare the 2 cause when u look at em like we do on these forums, u can see there totally different shows!

I've been thinking about this all afternoon, and it really bugs me that Invasion hasn't been mentioned in any newspapers' tv critics pages or adveritised anywhere, except for the initial advert on c4.
I'm sure that more people would love this program if they knew it existed.

I see what you mean Rascal. What I meant was that as soon as Lost season one finished, Invasion took over its time slot so naturally lots of Lost fans decided to give Invasion a chance but lets be honest it was always gonna be tough to fill Lost's boots! I think people saw it was as good as switched off. That could explain the bad ratings.

Hi littlefairy good to have you on board. Shame you havent been around since the beginning cos there are only two episodes left and there may not be a secons season and we could have done with your input!! lol!

It hasnt been well marketed I agree. Its never avertised and its lucky when know when its on cos they dont remind us!! I mean second season Lost has made it onto the cover of the Radio Times etc I cant see that happening for Invasion unfortunately!

sorry I'm new to the forum but I'm devasted that Invasion might be axed, I've read your comments on both this and the Lost forums and I know that you're as much a fan of both shows as me, it seems that Lost gets all the hype whilst
Invasion is seen as the poor relation, which is a shame as both shows are brilliant.

I just can't believe it. For once I follow a show from the beginning, and this happens! Is there nothing we can do? Can we petition ABC or something?

to be honest, even Lost might not make it all the way through. I think they originally had 5 series planned for Lost but it might get axed before they finish the whole thing.

as for Invasion, i agree with littlefairy. it seems to get the reputation of being the weaker relation of Lost. but in fact Invasion is entirely different from Lost and is just as good in its own right. I love both shows.

Hello. Latest word from the states is that abc are unlikely to renew it but that a new channel called cw is likely to pick it up instead so there is hope. Invasion is just too good not to be renewed.

Yea I heard about CW picking it up too. Don't know if that means they would still sell it on to e4 or not though!!

Well I emailed c4 today asking if this series' ratings were good enough so that they'd buy a poss second series so hopefully the reply will be positive.
