I don't know if this has already been posted, and if it has feel free to ignore this, but if the Alien's took DNA from Dave, but didn't manage to kill him, does this mean that somewhere there is a Dave clone walking around?

ive heard this aswell. Should be interesting, although y should it be half of him? The other sherrif came back with an arm even though he didnt have one before he went into the water!!
sorry, but I'm still confused about dave. Not sure if the 'real' dave is the real deal.
did you notice when 'alien' dave gave larkin the photo that 'real' dave asks larkin what it is. i'm sure dave got a glimpse of the photo as it was passed to larkin. the real dave would have known about the photo, and in fact 'real' dave does get all sentimental over it later.
maybe the aliens are limited in the memories they can absorb, or then again maybe its just my imagination - again!
The invasion wasnt completely successful and thats why there are both versions of Dave still alive because the aliens make sure that they kill the original person and just leave the clone.

^eh?? what do you mean? Kira WAS dragged off and given the whole underwater suction routine thing. she only escaped because the creature let her go (because she is unhealthy?). I thought we'd already established that part.

yea i know. Dave was dragged under also. Maybe there is something wrong with him to and thats why he wasnt totally 'copied'. Or simply Russell dragged him out quick enough.

ah yea thats true. people also question whether the Dave we see now is actually the 'real' Dave or the hybrid because of his reaction when he saw the photo the 'hybrid' passed Larkin. He was like 'Whats that?' As if he didnt really recognise it. Im not sure about this though.
