clare is set to get a new face, old EE fans will remember the new actress from when she played Nigel Bates stepdaughter Clare (gemma Bissix. She will take over the role as supervisor of the loft next month. after hollyoaks decided to cast a new actress to play the role, bosses decided Gemma is the right person to take the character Clare forward in her relationship with Max Cunningham.
Personally decided not to like the new Clare, why fix something that isnt broke? I hate it hate it when they change the face of a character that is currently in the show
thumbs down to Hollyoaks bosses for this stupid act.
I dont think Sam was good but I dont think they should have axed her and got someone else - should have just let the storyline finish and then Clare move on - feel sorry for the actress taking over - thats not a good place to be in!

yeah, it can be a good thing though if anyone watched eastenders, daniella westbrooke lost the role of sam to cant remember her name oh kim metcalf and made herself really popular...
but still not happy about that change at all... never liked the girl from eastenders when she played neigels daughter.. was glad when she got out of the show.
I find clare (current one) quite annoying so would be quite nice to see a new face. Remember Cindy Max sister, she is on a site called Bounty.com, she goes on there all the time. Her real name is STEFF WEARING, shes really pleasant to talk to.

yes there was i was just making a point where it can work changing faces but personally not liking the newly casted clare due to not liking her when she was on eastenders!

bet she has other committments so they had to change the actress
sometimes they bring someone in short term and then character is so popular that they want to bring them in full time maybe she cant sign a new contract?
Given the grand scheme of things it would have been better to simply axe the character all together rather than bring in a replacement.
They have replaced other cast members in the past when need be but they played more important characters such as Max and Cindy Cunningham. ( I refuse to state the Darren Osborne is still of any importance to Hollyoaks ) :P
Other news is Davinia Taylor is not going to return to Hollyoaks after all since she is going to try and save her marriage . Yeah like that true. More likely she has seen how bad it is lately and decided not to return the to sinking ship that is Grange Hill Mk 2 -Ooooooops Hollyoaks - .
When you have someone whose whole career has gone belly up since leaving originally not wanting to return you know something has seriously gone wrong.
Still anyone got Terri Dwyer's phone number as I'm sure she would be desperate to return AGAIN !!!
Having seen the photo of Gemma Bissix as she is now in Inside Soap, I would say it's an improvement, and at least she has had acting experience.
Still cannot see the point though of just replacing one person for another though given the character hasn't been in for long. It would have been better just to write the character off and start again with a new one unless they have a lot of storylines involving Max and Clare comming up.
There was a hint though that this might be the end of the Max/O.B partnership as Clare is going to drive a bigger wedge between the two.
i think the only reason clare was let go was because ' given how important max is to the show ' they probably tought she was a bit out of her depth to do serious stuff with him so they kept it basic between the two just alot of snogging scenes and joking around and stuff but the fact they want this character of clare long term obviously to play apart in max's life therefore doing more serious storylines they opted for an experienced actress ' saw a picture of her in inside soap she looks stunning ' matt littler [max] must be delighted with all these beautiful clare's that he has to be with...thankgod its about max' which leaves most of us still interested and uncritical i could only think of an acting catastrophe if this situation was to happen to ben or anyone else who was resigned to acting in their last year or 2

its about time max and ob got seperated ob ant seem to have a part to play in hollyoaks without max
im actually surprised that ob has lasted this long through the years 'the only thing in hollyoks his storylines really revolve around is max ' with ob out of the way now ' hopefully max can start to get down to a decent storyline with clare
