Yesterday's episode showed for the first time, the vulnerable side of Will. Before he was an out-and-out villain, but his reaction to Zoe and Jess mocking him showed him to be a guy in need of help. And I think that was the right decision by the Hollyoaks writers, to show that Will isn't simply an "evil" character, but a deeper, more complex person with reasons for his behaviour.

In no way am I attempting to justify Will's actions. I'm just hoping that when the other characters find out what Will has been up to (I'm assuming they'll find out at some point!!) they'll hopefully show some understanding towards him. There are similarities between Will and Laura Burns (remember her?!). It was awful the way that Laura was treated with a complete lack of sympathy by the other characters, despite the fact that she was clearly mentally ill rather than evil. This should not be the case with Will. The other students will of course be furious with him if they ever find out about the things he has done, but I hope they won't completely abandon him forever.

Once again, I'm not saying that Will deserves total forgiveness. He doesn't. He SHOULD have to face the consequences of his appalling behaviour. But maybe he deserves some understanding too (I've got a feeling that nobody is going to agree with me haha!).

You got the last bit right.

Laura had murdered someone before. Her best friend at the childrens home she was in and it was a deliberate action as it came out she pushed her in the river to stop her leaving. Although mentally ill there is very little that can be done for that sort of person, hence the reason why there are some criminals who will never be released because of their compulsions.

Will is in the same catagory, and I wouldn't be suprised if the real reason he came to HCC was because he had previously stalked someone else. He also revels in being in control and manipulating people while pretending to be innocent. That takes a lot of doing to be so convincing to others. I would say he was more upset at the thought Zoe was slowly turning against him than showing any sensitive side. I would also expect him to walk free as well.

Didn't Kerry(Laura) and her friend plan to kill themselves but the real Laura changed her mind but fell into the water and Kerry didn't do anything to save her?

No, Will deserves no sympathy whatsoever. The lad's a monster. His latest wheeze to keep Zoe back - by slamming her hand in the taxi door - was worth a 5-year-stretch alone, in my view. I am a piano player and so might Zoe be in a situation like that. But also I think this storyline has been milked for far too long already. Zak has his suspicions, but, apparently, none of the others does! In real life, Will would have been caught out long before now. A chance remark that would make the others realise he had some kind of "inside" knowledge would have exposed him by now. Also, I hope that when he is found out that we at least see a proper trial, not some contrived ending where Will commits suicide, which we've already seen cuts down on production costs considerably.

In a way i did feel sorry for him. The way he was crying like that showed that he wasn't just a guy wanted to cause trouble but he does have some serious problems.

The way he cried was not a real man crying or being emotional, coz he can't be emotional.

He destroyed Zak and Zoe being togehter, has probably ended any hope of Kris & Jess getting together and now runied Zoe's chance of a lifetime. The guy is evil, gruesome and monsterous.

The way Jess and Zoe mocked him yesterday was played out brilliantly, and for me, he gets no symphony from me!

No!

When Will came in he was said to have been the youngest ever winner of Countdown, so perhaps that changed him into being the nasty person he is! The conclusion is never be a Countdown winner!! Big Grin

yea, evil people often derive from a personal experience that they had when they were younger or something. Either countdown was the experience, or he had a girlfriend who cheated on him

I did feel a bit bad for him when he was crying on his own and that, but he brought it on himself, if he hadnt been spying on Zoe then he wouldnt have known what they were saying. Having said that I think it showed that he has got problems rather than just being evil for the sake of it

i felt a little sympathetic to him just because in a way he just wants to be loved but what he has done to zoe and the rest of the students is totally over the top and inexcusable but i still cant help feeling a little bit sorry for him when the students find out of course they will b angry and i dont think some of them would have it in them to forgive him i wouldnt

I feel bad about feeling sorry for him last episode! I still hate him for every wrong thing he's done or provoked but when he broke down in tears I didn't feel nothing for him; the hate's still there but in my opinion he just seriously needs medical help. He's not pure evil, the worst thing he did was definitely almost ruining Kris' life, but he's seriously got a problem with his obsession with Zoe. It doesn't help that I don't like Zoe anyway so I don't have much sympathy for her

Most viewers don't seem to try to look beyond the evil. It's likely that Will struggled with the pressure and struggled to develop himself socially.

Will is quite clearly a psycopath and will probably end up either in somewhere like Broadmore. He is extemely dangerous and no amount of counselling will help in the slightest, his behaviour has nothing to do with previous experiences but is the result of a personality disorder
