aww i am flattered, i got a special mention, for your information the law has changed so that it is illegal for becca and justin to have an affair. to protect teenager from acting on crushes they develop on people in a place of trust. right or wrong its the law

I agree it should be changed, but I think it should be 18 not 16.
I am sure we will dissagree on that, but in holland the age of consent is 14, they should have moved to holland lol
Poeple, people. I don't understand this opnion that the law should be changed for the sake of Becca and Justin!??? The law is there to protect young people like Justin from angry husbands and the like. I don't have any children but I can be damn sure that I feel better knowing that my kids (because at 16 they still will be to me) are in a place where adults can't mess with them. If it had been "Justine" and not Justin who was involved with a teacher (male of course) we would be questioning the teacher and rightly so. Making it legal would make it all the easier for teachers to prey on students, under threat of bad marks or victimisation. Then they could claim it was consensual. The pupils word against theirs. Surely people can understand the laws are there to protect the pupils from consequences of crushes that teachers don't resist as well as harassment. Questioning the reasoning behind these laws means that some are guilty of the not thinking things through to their conclusion, kind of like Becca.

because the law is there in theory to prevent teachers abusing authority,
and also so there are no gray areas over the legal rights or wrongs of the situation, as teachers, the public etc know where the law is on the issue
all this talk about the law and how they are in love etc makes me wonder what if this storyline was a male older tacher and a young teenage girl, i have a feeling that those who are for this storyline may have something to say
Its like if it was a bloke who wasnt a teacher, say Tony for example sleeping wiv Nicole, then people would say he was a pervert, cos he's a bit older than Becca and Nicole is Justins age! It's probably cos the oldest person in the relationship was a female!!
Also, on the topic. Yes, Nicole did act like a spoilt brat and maybe was partly jealous, but remember a few things. Nancy is her mate and Nicole knows what Becca has done to her and how this will continue to affect her. If Nicole had decided to broadcast what she knew or have a laugh at Nancy's expense I would agree entirely. Second, Becca commands respect from Nicole through her position as a teacher. How can she respect her now? Lastly, Nicole is a 16 year old girl who are variably spiteful by nature (does that really change when women get older? Just kidding). She is revelling in it a bit too much but who wouldn't in her position?

that would depend on the characters too depending on how fit and foxy they are
Actually I don't think that people would feel any different if it was a male teacher - if the storyline was developed in the same way. Its much more common for younger girls to sustain a relationship with older men. The storyline shows that these situations are not always as black and white as we might think. Its only recently become a legal issue in schools but fraternization is a sackable offence in lots of professions

yep, i think its changed now, but when i was in the army. other ranks were not allowed to get involved with senior NCO' or Officers and no same sex things either (that has changed)

Another thing is that Becca warned both Nancy and Nicole off Justin, telling them that he wasn't worth fighting over. In Nicole's mind, had Becca not said that then she might have still had a chance with Justin herself

I was cheering Nicole on, whatever her reasons Becca has behaved like a total bitch. Also who wouldn't love to get revenge on a teacher (Becca is always giving Nicloe detention)
i cant stand nicole. errrrr. she has no right to say anything. its nothing to do with her. i know she thinks she is just standing up for nancy, but she should stay out of it like hannah because when she says pathetic comments she just sounds juvenile.

Falling for the wrong person is hard, but Jake is just a w*nker, he wasn't exactly loyal to Becca when he was sh*gging his friend's little sister!
Oh but in Jakes defense, and I am no big fan of jakes, becca forgave him for that.
Becca forgave him on the surface maybe but deep down I don't think she did. Once the trust has been broken in a relationship it's very hard to get it back. I don't think I could ever forgive my husband if he was unfaithful to me.
