IS it just me or does anybody else think that both Tina and Mercedes are both desperate to get down the aisle and are rushing getting married.

Mercedes and Russ and Tina and Dom havent even been together for a year and theyre already getting married !

In real life i know many people who wait until theyve been together for a few years before they plan on getting married. Or at least move in together first...

I just think its showing that marriage isnt that serious.

What's annoyed me is that they've started booking and they don't have a clue how much it's going to cost! I got engaged in January, by March i knew exactly how much it was all going to cost us and i immediately realized we wouldn't be able to afford it until at least 2009, i was upset we couldnt't get married next year when the Mcqueen sisters are insisting on getting married in less than a month! I guess the writers rush it so that people don't get bored watching all the preparations and stuff but all the same, most people take at least a year to arrange their wedding, to think it can be done in a month is ridiculous! Our wedding is going to make us soooo poor so how the Mcqueen sisters - who don't even have proper full time jobs - can afford it all in under four weeks is beyond me! There's nothing wrong with wanting to get married quickly, i would have married my boyfriend within 6 months of meeting him because i knew he was the one but i think you should try living together first, we've been together just over three years and we've lived in our own house together for almost two. I can't believe that Mercedes and Russ and Tina and Dom even considered getting married when they haven't two pennies to rub together and have never experienced living together and paying their own bills! It makes a joke out of the marriage system.

Doesn't how much it costs depend mostly on how much you want to spend?

Here in the U.S. there is the marriage license, and there is the church or Justice of the Peace, but everything else is optional.

I've actually found all these weddings and relationships in the McQueen house hold a bit unbelievable. Its like the writers have said quick lets pair them all off asap

Russ is a student who earns pennies working in a bar part time. Mercedes is supposed to work in the Dog (never see her though) and that doesnt pay much.

Tina has practically no money. Dom works in the restaurant which Tony owns (ok Dom probably has a bit of cash coming in but only because of his brother!). Sometims I dont get how they live in such a huge house i swear the mum is one of those dossers on benefits i never see her work!

But unless mercedes gets the 10 grand shes trying to fake by being crippled to claire this wedding aint gonna happen.

The only reason why Russ proposed in the first place was only after jacqui got married to alec and then Tina got all jealous and started pressuring Dom and getting annoyed he wasnt commiting. I think they're just getting married for the wrong reasons.

What happens after they get married they all going to live in the mcqueen house together? They havent thought it through

Well, lets face it is the McQueens, and we al knew Tina was desperate when getting engaged to Dom as she was jealous of Jacqui. and Mercedes I think she wants a wedding because of that reason and that she wants Russ all to herself asap! Some couple are actually like this in real life as well. I had a mate who mum and dad got engaged within 24 hours after their first meeting and then 3 months later got married, they are still together today

yes i think the McQueens are totally rushing to get married. i think it is stupid that they were arguing over the date of a marriage lol

Theres an upcoming scene in tomorrows episode (or tonight on E4) where the mcqueens go to extreme lengths in order to get their wedding and bridal dresses.

Its completley OTT but hilarious, and thats the mcqueens all over for you. I think the show would be so dull without them and they do provide a lot of fun escapism to the show especially with all the serious/emotional stories that go on elsewhere.

The thing is i completely understand why the girls are all like they are at the moment. I have two sisters and two brothers, we were brought up by my mum as my dad left when we were young, so we're fairly similiar to the Mcqueens - except that we have the same dad of course! - it's what i like about the Mcqueens, they are real and i know they're real because i kinda lived it all! The whole 'she's getting married why aren't we?' thing is spot on! I had been with my boyfriend for almost three years when my sister got engaged to her boyfriend of eight months and boy did i throw a tantrum! A few eeks after she got engaged we found out she was pregnant and again did i ever throw a wobbly!!!! I asked my mum if my sister was deliberately trying to upset me! It all comes down to rivalry and jealousy! i always wanted to be the first down the aisle and i wanted to give my mum her first grand child, i was devastated that my sister beat me to the baby thing and i know that sounds ridiculous but i felt that as the eldest child in my family and as the first to meet someone they wanted to marry and as the first to get their own home i should have been the first to get married and have babies, i'm still annoyed that it hasn't happened that way. So, for people who think the whole three sisters getting marriedf quickly thing is rubbish think again! I'm still racing my sister down the aisle, now they've got their daughter it's harder for them to save and plan it all so i'm actually happy she's had a baby before me in one way because it means i'll be the first to get married and i'm holding on to the hope that i have the first grandson! lol!
