I thought Eli was Newt's brother as i vaguely remember when he first came about that they were talking about Newt's mum and Eli said she was back on the drugs??? I asumed from this that they were brothers.
yeah, that was one of the things that prompted my thinking that Eli may be imaginary. I could be Newt's mind coming up with reasons why his mum still hasn't come back for him, that's she's still a 'smackhead', though Newt doesnt neccessarily want to admit this "that's my mum you're talking about there!" etc. blah over now

He's 15 and he's a schizophrenic.
Awww poor Newt, he's lovely. This is a great storyline that their developing though. If they produce/write it with delicacy and tact, then it could be a winner.
