A deathly dull character. The only reason he chases after guys he cant get is because he gets a kick of out of being a martyr.

If he wasnt gay most people would have tired of his tedious love life.

I agree, he is so boring and moody all the time. I can't stand JP. Most annoying character in HO!

No he's not. I dont really like him lately but i think he's very sweet

John Paul is a lovely character and James plays him wonderfully.

I dont think hes the worst

but hes boring

I find James a bit wooden, he isn't the best actor in HO, or any other soap, but there are worse then him. He is just to overatted for me.

And JP is a boring character.

I agree about JP being boring. In fact, I am fed up to the back teeth with the JP-and-Craig story, and now the JP-and-Kieron story. I wish he'd just decide what he wants to be, get a boy/girlfriend, get a life and leave us in peace.

I agree that JP has become a bit boring of late. Kieron the Priest is the life and soul of the party compared to him right now.

This is the third thread I've looked at this morning and they've all had blank posts on them.

i luv JP's charecter but i think a storyline with a happy ending is needed for him!

I think JP and James Sutton are both nice but not as nice as what they both think they are. A very over inflated ego me thinks on both counts!!! I get the impression that James Sutton thinks he's in a different league to others in HO and he so isn't!

i have to agree im not keen on Jp - he is vey moody, selfish and overbearting when it comes to his sisters and hannah for example.

I also dont think James is the best actor in the soap - but its not a talent contest.

I think the reason James is so popular is the whole JP/craig storyline

I was a massive storyline for HO and create a cult following - this following wont have anything bad said about it.

I'm not a McDeaner (cant stand craig)but I absolutely LOVE JP!!!

At the moment he looks a little dull but thats only because they are given other characters more air time after his massive storyline last year. He will be back with a massive twist soon and we will all see that lovable character again thats disappeared for a while.

JP has gone boring because of his FK. He wasn't boring when he was Craig and he needs a sunset ending!!!!

He was even more boring with Craig, and so was that storyline.

I love JP, I think he's a wonderful character. I don't think I would be tired of him if he was heterosexual, and I don't think he gets a kick out of being martyr. That said, I haven't liked him that much too lately but only because of the way he treated Kieron.

Really? What gives you that impression. Whenever I've seen James interviewd he's always been very modest about his own acting ability and full of praise for all his co-actors and the scriptwriters. He's very loyal to the show and has gone on record as saying how proud he is to be involved in it. That doesn't sound like someone with an inflated ego to me.
