I was reading about cast members on Wikipedia and was surprised to discover that Loui Bately is 20 (born Jan 87). She plays a sixth former, therefore her character is meant to be 17 or 18, and I thought she was about that age in real life. Suprised to find out she's 20. Do other people think she looks 20 or younger ?

no! i thought she were younger dead younger ooer but then again Jim Sutton is 24 and he plays a 17 yr old & thats case in loadsa other soaps like in corrie with the platts the girl that plays sarah (tina o'brien) is like in her 20's when she were doin the teen pregnancy storyline and sposed to be 13 she were 16/17 & jack p sheperd is 19/20 plays 16 yr old

She looks about 20 to me.

i think she does look 20, its just we r used to her being a school girl and she is made to look younger. i am a bit surprised that shes 20, but they are all older than who they play

I would have took a guess at 18/19 to be honest.

Must be strange being 20 years old and being told to don a school uniform and be a school-y again.

emma rigby(hannah)is only 16/17 and plays a 18 yr old,which seems a bit different!!hehe!!isnt jennifer biddall(jess)about 27,but jess about 19/20??she doesnt look that old!!hehe!!

I was passing by Loui's personal myspace a few weeks ago, and the default picture she had at the time with her hair pinned back at a club or something, made her look about 20ish, but she does look younger in Hollyoaks i think.

And I'm not sure how old Jess is but i think her face does look really quite old!

Yeah I thought Jess seemed a lot older than 20, looked it up and I was right! Jessica Fox is quite old as well, about 25 I think?

sarah doesn't look 20! i think she looks about 18

I wonder what they'll do with Sarah's character after she leaves school. Maybe have her going straight to the college? Maybe she'll open up a small business in the village. A chocolate shop? flower stall? boutique? Hey, I'm giving the writers ideas here! Be interesting to see what they will do with her character come July when she leaves school.

Sarah post-school: Maybe after she leaves school they could have Sarah becoming joint-owner of Il Gnosh, along with Tony, or maybe buying the Octagen - if Max and O.B. dont buy it - and having a business there. They're bound to do something exciting with the character if Loui stays on in the show.

i think she looks younger than she really is

i dont see why they dont just get the proper age.its all quite confusing.but it doesnt really make a difference

I saw an interview with the girl who plays Amy and she said 'I play Amy who's, like, 15. I think'. Suggesting the actress is not that age herself (maybe like 16 or 17). Amy is Hollyoaks' most annoying character.

If i was Jessica Fox, i'd probably be quite upset that they made me someone like 6 years younger than i was. Especially if there were others who were around the same age that played around the right age.

Gerard McCarthy is 25, but easily gets away with playing a 19/20-year-old student.

The biggest age diffences between the actor's age and the character's age is either Jennifer Bidall or Jessica Fox. Both are about 5 or 6 years older than their character in real life.
