I've read in a few places that Gemma was actually axed from HO.

I always assumed it was her decision to leave.

Does anyone know if she left or was axed please?

she left if she was axed they would have killed her off but shes like a cockroach she can survie anything and also if she was axed they wouldnt have given her a goodbye back stage vid

i know this may sound weird but in the bsa where did she sit with ee or ho as she was nominated by ho and ee won best soap and shes currently in ee anyone know?

i suppose but i cant even think why she would have wanted to leave ho if i got a role on it theyd have to kill me off to mkae me leave its the best soap and when working being surrounded by fit guys chirs fountain jamie lomas nico what more would you want

she wanted to be near her family in london thats why she left

oh rite i thought i thought she was bored playing the character but her character in ee is the same apart from the surname ee cant even think of different names 4 their characters

Can i just ask what award was gemma nominated for in eastenders? im not quite sure i just thought she was nominated for 2 awards in hollyoaks??

she cant win, pople think she was called clare in EE as she had already played the same character about 10 years previously, and Ho didnt call her clare because of EE as she was taking over a part played by another actress before, and the characters name coincidentally turned out to be clare

Gerard McCarthy made a joke on this morning last week that Hollyoaks should win because 'the other soaps pick up the actors they axe - like gemma bissix and alex carter'

I really want her to come back

Any "vilian" character in soap never has a long life span , in gemmas case i think she was originally brought in for a year but her character proved so popular it was extended. I dont think she was axed and Im not sure if she wanted to leave but i think they can only go sofar with a character and clare defo covered every angle of hers
