I was talking about Holyoaks at work the other day, when my mate pointed out that she thinks Eli may be a ghost, or some voice inside Newt's head?? When she said it, it kinda made sense!!
-No one ever sees him or acknowledges him apart from Newt -When he went after Louise with a bat the other night, and Newt pulled him away, Louise didn't even turn around to see what was going on? Any other normal person would have done, which just all but confirms that Eli may well not be a real person!!
Yep, I've posted about this before. He's clearly not a 'real' living person. Whether he is a 'ghost' from Newt's childhood or another side of his consciousness is still up for debate.

I've thought that pretty much since his first episode. It's starting to bug me that they haven't acknowledged it yet, but I guess they want to drag it out for while first, make him do even worse stuff around the village, etc.

I totally agree. For a while i was confused/annoyed with Eli as he was never noticed by others and then in this past month or so i started to think he isn't real.
Should be an interesting story when it all comes out- eg is he real.
It should be Newt talking to Eli and then Frankie sees him and he is talkng to himself.
