I can totally understand the anger jake is going through and imagine finding out your wife slept with a school boy OMG!!!!! and thats the main reason she wouldnt tell him who it is because she is ashamed of herself for sleeping with a schoolboy.... she didnt keep quiet because she loves justin she kept quiet because of her shame.
they both deserve everything they get. .. i know i know i ll be public enemy number1
i agree, with most of that. even the keeping quiet bit. but i do think she does like him, not sure i would go as far as love. i think justin likes her more than she likes him.

I agree with that, i do feel sorry for Nancy in that respect. It would hurt a lot to find out that was the reason she didn't get to see her dad one last time.

I actually feel pretty sorry for all of them. Or at least I would if they were real people. Becca least of all though, I think she's the main 'wrong doer' in this scenario.
Jake's angry because his wife was more attracted to a schoolboy than she was to him. This would have dented his neanderthal male pride. His anger is in the humiliation he feels NOT the destruction of his marriage or the loss of Becca.

See i don't think she is. I don't think we can say one person is more to blame than the other. In the lead up to it, we could blame Justin because he pursued Becca. But when it all actually started it was a mutual thing. I don't think it's fair to say one is more to blame than the other. But that's just me.

becca doesnt get sympathy - she knew first hand what an affair does to a relationship, she should have known this would be the result, they were hardly going to wind up like a hallmark card with a utopion scene (her and justin) while fluffy clouds and rainbows and pink kitties chasing a ball of yarn. this wasnt a getting even act this was pure idiotic selfishness on her part, thought she was the cat that got the cream ooops it just went sour

I don't think you can help who you fall for, so I don't blame her for being with Justin - but I do think she's gone about it in the worst possible way. Sorry, dress it up any way you want to but Becca was always the one in control of the situation. As the adult and as the teacher, the responsibility was with her to shut it down before anything happened. She admitted that there were so many times that she tried to stop it but she was weak. True, we cannot help how we feel, but what we can do is decide on how we act upon those feelings. Becca knew all the rules and she was the married person. The buck stops with her. She is the person in a position of authority and with the authority comes responsibility.

I understand the dislike of of dishonesty, that's my biggest problem. And i've always said i didn't condone the fact that they were having an affair. But at the end of the day people fall in love and develop feelings for people that they probably shouldn't. And yes, we should be able to say no, and make sure we don't do anything about it, and some people are able to do that. But if the feeling is strong enough then a lot of people will just think 'stuff the consequences'. That doesn't make them easier to deal with when the truth comes out, but it's the way some people think. But i do understand where you're coming from.

(not likely, she doesn't seem to know much, not even who the father of her child is, eeeew, dirty) Does anyone know whether or not they've really fallen until the look back on it? I know there have been blokes ( i shudder to think of them now) with whom I've honestly thought I was in love at the time ... only with hindsight have I said "what the ..???!!!!"
the most funniest thing is and people take the rose tinted specs off... becca never ever really thought about the consequences on the greater scale... she just filled a gap in her life is all. so he moves in with her big deal... because no one else will have her
