i no she thinks beccas took advantage, but she hasnt as such coz her n justin r in love! beccas lost her job now,n i think that if justin tried to perduade his mam not to ring the skool or anything, liz might of listened to her son, but its too late now! i think he could of maybes prevented her from doin it!
well i hope j hates his mum now and beats her again i her eyes he cant do nothing wrong but when he hit her first when he was on the drugs he was all right when mel hit her she cucked her out how unfair is that she is the worst mum on their even worse then cathy barnes
well yeh i suppose she thinks shes doin the right thing, but i dunno, the justin n becca things different, he doesnt even act like a 16 yr old he seems to be much older even tho he can be ratha stupid at times n childish lol
she went too far! she wouldnt of listened t him at al if he asked her not t tell the police or school! she needs t get over it and accept that her son had jus as much t blame and he isnt as innocent as she makes him out

ha yeah she thought she could own up and all would be ok
I don't have children myself, but I can only imagine what a parent's protective instinct is like. I know Justin was consensual, but in Liz's eye's Becca is the adult and as the teacher, in a position of authority and trust. Now Justin is ready to bypass ten years of his life to be a father to a baby of a woman she asked into her home to help him succeed in life. Would we think a parent was being too harsh if it were a male teacher and a 16 year old girl ended up pregnant? Would you just shrug your shoulders if it were your son or daughter? I'm sure Liz should have just carried on partying after watching her son take a beating from an angry husband.
actually that happened at my school (male teach with 16 year old)and i asked my mum what she thought about it n she said as long as he was gonna stick by her and there wasnt a huge age gap between um, nothing was forced and the child is over 16 then she doesnt have a prob with it

If I have noticed anything from posting on these boards, there is a lack of moral standing in todays society.
I don't think it is a moral thing; it is more an inability to why teacher/student relationships are inappropriate (which has much to do with the denial of future opportunities/choices to the student than the sex).

yeah but even those 30+ can't see the harm, so again to me its moral standing, I might be wrong though
It's nothing to do with not having any moral standing. It's simply different perspectives. Like me, in my opinion, Justin is over 16 which is the consensual age meaning a 16 year old can have sex and choose their own partner. That rule should not be changed just because the partner you choose is a teacher, it's a double standard. If it's going to be that way the law should be that the legal age for everyone is 18. It's just fair.
And i do think Liz went too far. The news was all around the school so Becca would have gotten hauled in for it anyway because other teachers would have caught wind of it. Justin asked his mum, in fact warned her, not to grass Becca up. But Liz think she's the almighty went ahead anyway, just to keep Justin and Becca apart. In tonight's episode, it was Liz who was in the wrong.

I really wanted to be lectured again and again by you.
It's not about constent. It's about abuse of trust for which Becca has been arrested for.
In that case Liz had every right to report Becca as she is supposedly meant to be Justin's teacher and not having sexual relationships with her son, or don't you believe Jo that people in authority shouldn't show any morals and do exactly what they want and exploit the vunerable. And don't forget Justin was vunerable as he wasn't getting much support from his mother when Becca first started tutoring him. Then there comes along a teacher who want's to help him and looks attractive. To a boy who is undergoing a surge in his sex drive then it's inevitable what was going to happen the longer Becca spent time with Justin. For along time his obsession was allowed to grow, until Becca wanted an escape route from her life and gave in and had sex with him.
It's obvious the Justins head is so messed up by his relationship with Becca now that he cannot see common sense and what the implications are going to be. He cannot even accept that Jake and not him is the father of Becca's child. In that sense he is also acting very immature. Just hoping the problems are all going to go away and that everything will be alright if they do is a very naive attitude to take. They are notnow that Becca has been arrested by the police and confessed to their relationship.

The only thing i think Becca did wrong was the fact she was having an affair, the one thing i have always said i don't condone, she should have left. But just because she happened to have feelings for a student in my opinion does not mean she has no morals. In fact i think Becca is generally a very moral person which is why she had such a hard time dealing with what she was doing and why she felt so guilty. But you can't help who you fall for, it shouldn't matter what job you have.
