I am sick and tired of soaps having so little imagination they have to rely on characters having affairs and cheating on each other. They are actively condoning such behaviour for the sake of dramatic licence. When it's happening in real life to someone you care about it annoys you that TV can make entertainment out of peoples' suffering, and I particularly dislike the way soap affairs always have to happen over the Christmas period.
But it does look like they play "Who did not sleep with whom yet". I think it's just writers being lazy, it's more difficult to come up with a good non-affair related story than with the good old bed-hopping.
