i hae been watching eastenders for the last few weeks and have noticed a change in it.
it used to hae 1 storyline at a time and now its got about 5 going on.
remember that hollyoaks when everyone was up all night?
eastenders did EXACTLY the same thing a few nights ago.
and this stella thing? hardly a villain...but they are trying to make a bitch as good as clare.
it might just be me imagining things but has anybody else noticed a change in eastenders?
the younger people are getting shown more than te older people lately too.

Deadenders depresses me, so I don't watch it, I still read about it in Inside Soap though, so I still know what's happening x

My mom had it on the other day, and i seriously felt like slashing my wrists, its soo depressing!

The 'up all night' thing on Eastenders is nothing new. They were doing that years ago. I watched Eastenders from the youngest age and gave up about 18 months-2 years ago. I as so into it for so long that people even recorded episodes for me when I was abroad - I never missed an episode. However, it got so awful a couple of years ago, and has remained so since, that I completely stopped watching it. I've sampled the odd ten minutes every few months and see that it's still cr*p. It's such a shame, it was the greatest show on British television and it was completely, and irreversibly, ruined by naff characters and stupid storylines. The people who ruined the show should be ashamed. I won't watch it again.

exactly and yet it 'wins' the most awards every year.

i used to like eastenders but now all the storylines make me so depressed that i hate watching it now and i agree..i really dnt see how it wins best soap every year

I don't understand your point re Clare/Stella. So what, EE have a bitch? So?

And storylines are planned months and months in advance so I doubt any soap copies another just because there are a few similar things going on at the same time.

I just to love Eastenders but since the main characters left (Dennis, Sharon, Den, Chrisse, Kat, Alfie and Johnny) I hardly watch it.
When one soap has a good storyline the others seem to copy each other.
