I think she was truly upset, but relieved at the same time that it was over. I think it can be like that for a lot of people when they end a relationship.
Heartbreak can happen over time. At teh time she split she was glad to be rid of him but perhaps over time she was a little heartbroken that she ended it and he took it so badly..
